The AssaultRunner Elite is a commercial-grade, curved manual treadmill. It has TPU rubber slats that are soft enough for barefoot running. It has a lifetime warranty on its belt. The console has built-in training programs. There are two cup holders next to the console. The Elite is great for all types of running and more beginner-friendly than many other manual treadmills.
The TrueForm Trainer has the shallowest curvature out of any manual running treadmill. This design makes the treadmill feel more natural to run on. The belt turns very smoothly. While it may take time to get used to the trainer, it feels very enjoyable to run on. The Trainer is less expensive and easier to move than the TrueForm Runner, but shoppers looking for a high-end and customizable treadmill should consider the Runner over the Trainer.
The Bells of Steel Blitz treadmill has 6 levels of magnetic resistance. It has one of the steepest curves. This curvature makes it easier to build speed, but the belt is also very heavy which makes it hard to move. The Blitz has sled push handles for the most difficult levels. This treadmill is best for sled pushing and sprinting, but it can also be used for walking and running.
The AssaultRunner Pro is a great alternative to our top treadmill for shoppers on a stricter budget. It has most of the same great features. It is great for everything from walking to endurance running to sprinting. It has a moderate curve and a lightweight belt which is ideal for beginners.

    The reviews are great. Is there any way you could incorporate the customer service of these companies? To me that is just as important as features. Warranties are worthless from companies who don’t care about customer service. Google nordictrack and proform customer service. It’s terrible. Also a video on UA-cam of a guy trying to get warranty service on a Horizon. It was horrible.

    I love your reviews. I keep getting drawn to the F65 by Sole and I’d love a review for it. My reasons are specific to the quick handlebar buttons - is this something I should really consider as the large buttons you mentioned are on the 65(I think! Lol) as well as the 22” wide deck. I’m always working on my balance issues so that 2” is important to me. Any thoughts? I use my iPad so I don’t need a screen. Thank you!!

    • @BestTreadmillReviews

      Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't think Sole will send me the F65 just because it's almost identical to the F63 except for the width. If that extra width is what you are looking for, it is a great choice. I really like the simple console, and it would be a great one to use with an iPad. I hope that helps!

    Great video! Sorry for the extra long write, which this will be, but it's coming from someone who never looked into treadmills before and my take on them from what I'm seeing so far in my research. I never thought I'd be looking for a treadmill, but now I live in an area that you can't go half a mile without having to jog in place while you wait for the crosswalk light (unless I run back and forth, up and down my street,,, yawn). I am very surprised though at how non tech treadmills are in today's day and age. Being a tech geek of sorts, I would expect options for upgrade ability, such as changing out monitors, speakers, etc. Again, being an outside person that now lives in a very non friendly runner environment, I would love the scenic videos on a large ultra wide 4k minimum screen. Maybe with an option for fans that increase as you run up a virtual mountain, like in Rocky V, hahaha. Okay, that might be pushing it, but if this was the path I went down in life in designing them it wouldn't be. Also, none of these seem to have video out options for running to a TV, then the customization would be simple. For the price of treadmills, which has been a major shock to me for what you get, it just seems like some effort should go into upgrades, modules, something, anything, and yet, none seem to have any. I built my 16k dollar computer which is also a simulator which I soon plan to add hydraulics, so if you're watching Nordi, or Peloton, I'm available for a percent of your profits if you want to truly revolutionize this market for the better! Smiley face.

    • @danhoven
      @danhoven 16 днів тому

      Very, very cool! It does seem to lack a few things, well, from what I can see on their site. No heart monitoring from what I see so far, but the features it does mention, like the use of a TV and the responsive surface sound great! Thank you so much! Much more research to do on it, but very interesting.

      That's a really tough choice there. The F80 has a durable construction and better training content options. The 7.8 AT has faster speed and incline adjustments that make HIIT workouts super smooth. If you do more intervals, 7.8 AT. If you do more endurance walks or runs, F80.

    Good review. My gym has this and I agree that I like the seat way better than the C2 seat. It's a high quality piece of equipment, and the flywheel is not prone to getting full of dustbunnies. If I was running a gym, I'd consider getting these over a C2. As a home user, I'd only get this over a c2 when it is on sale for a lot less. But one minor point is that I agree with 'training tall'--the feet can typically go one notch lower than strap over ball of foot. This should still feel totally fine--but it lets you get slightly better 'lean forward' at the front of your stroke. For years I wasn't getting as good front range until I lowered my feet just a tad more, and my stroke got better immediately b/c I could get more of the 11:00-1:00 body swing working.

  • @monkeyb1820
    @monkeyb1820 Місяць тому

    C2 is an awesome product--but the one area where Assault Rower has them beat is on the seat. Assault's seat isn't overly mushy, but it is comfortable. The C2 seat has me sort of wiggling side to side after a little while, it's not as comfy on the sit bones.

    I'd avoid this. I own one and it's so cheaply made, definitely not worth the cost. All the decals fell off, I have to factory reset almost weekly because the screen is just a blank white screen, and I also opted for "white glove" set up and delivery....which they didn't build it correctly and also took the hex wrenches home with them.

    I have this exact model and I wouldn’t buy it again. The ifit system is annoying and forces you to use it even when you don’t want to. It always has updates that are needed and you can’t use it until the system updates. The running belt is narrow and not very solid to me. Also I’ve had it for less than 4 years and it feels like it’s dying. Under load at higher speeds it just cut off. I use it 4-5 times per week and it’s been serviced 2 times per year. I wouldn’t recommend this for the reasons given

    What does “incline level” mean? Is there an industry standard or does it vary by manufacturer? I’m sure “incline level” is not the same as “incline percentage” In any case in all your reviews it would be very helpful to know what the max incline percentage is in all these treadmills. I recently bought and returned an xterra treadmill. It advertised it had 15 incline levels, but that only was a 5% incline as measured by a leveler. Please include this info in your reviews. I can’t find much of this info on any manufacturer.

      @BestTreadmillReviews Місяць тому

      Thanks for the feedback! This is something I've recently started including in my written and video reviews. You are right that levels are not the same as incline percent. The F80 has a maximum incline of about 12%.

    Thanks for the review! I just built my Carol bike today and I'm setting up the seat height for my first ride. You mentioned not to pedal with the bike off. Do you mean w/ the bike unplugged from the wall or when there is no program being run from the monitor?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews Місяць тому

      Carol recommends only pedaling the bike when it is in a program. This ensures that the magnets are in the proper position away from the flywheel so the braking mechanism will not be harmed.

      @@BestTreadmillReviews Thank you! They s/ really put that in their instructions somewhere. It’s natural to try pedaling to check for proper seat height before running a program. They need to do better.

      Yes. It will get louder the harder you row because it uses air resistance. Magnetic and water resistance rowers are quieter.

    Why do you keep saying that this is not a treadmill for use with others every single day?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews Місяць тому

      It's hard to say how much use a treadmill can handle with a particular motor strength. We prefer a 4.0 HP motor for multiple hours of daily use. The 1250 only has a 3.0 horsepower motor. HP doesn't tell the whole story, but it's our general recommendation.

    Deciding between the Sole F63 or Horizon 7.0 AT. They are the exact same price at my local store. Ive just heard bad things about the Sole's speed and incline adjustments being really slow and unresponsive. Same store has the Nordic Track Commercial 1250 on sale for 1299. Do you think that jump in price is worth it for the 1250?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews Місяць тому

      The 1250 is worth it if you want to subscribe to iFIT. The 1250 is also softer than the F63 or the 7.0 AT. The 7.0 AT's speed and incline adjustments are much faster than the F63 but pretty comparable to the 1250.
